Kevin Lindauer

Kevin D. Lindauer, Battle Creek, age 53, died Sunday, August 2, 2009. Kevin was born on August 21, 1955 in Battle Creek the son of Richard and Ruth (Ploehn) Lindauer. Kevin retired from the Battle Creek Fire Department in 2008 after 25 years of service as a firefighter. Kevin was a Springfield High School football and wrestling standout having been chosen to the All-State football team as a Senior and winning State wrestling championships as both a Junior and Senior. In his spare time he set the Springfield High shot-put record. He continued with scholarships in both football and wrestling at Central Michigan University where he won the Mid-American Conference championship as their heavyweight wrestler. Kevin was also an avid golfer. Kevin is survived by his father: Richard (Donna) Lindauer, and his brothers: Mark (Teresa) Lindauer, and Terry (Lynn) Lindauer all of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth. Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Lawn Cemetery, Battle Creek.
