MAITRE - Mr. Kenneth E. Maitre aged 70, of Big Rapids, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Delores (Zuern); children, Susan (Frank) Sherrod of Wyoming, MI, Cheryl (Doug) Jones of Florida, Kathy (Steve) Hamilton of Caledonia, MI, Ralph (Sheila) Smith of Jamestown, MI, Melanie (Brooks) Lesert of Middleville, MI, Debbie Lang of Vero Beach, FL; 18 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and his beloved dog Scamp, and his cat Whiskers. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of V.F.W. Family services will be held Sunday January 11, 2009, 1 to 5 p.m. at his residence in Big Rapids.
