Obituary
Age 95, of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully at home and went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 21, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 14, 1930, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Leonard and Effie S. (Stryker) Linders.
Ken was a 1948 graduate of Kalamazoo Christian Schools. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Kenneth worked as a lithographic artist in the printing industry for many years.
Ken enjoyed bowling and playing softball, continuing to play into his mid-70s. He also loved water volleyball, growing and caring for roses, and wintering in Arizona for over 25 years. Ken was an active member of Haven Church, where he faithfully served as an elder, deacon, and church treasurer. He and his first wife, Nancy, were among the first members following the church's charter.
Ken was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy L. (Koets) Linders in 2014; his parents; his brother, Roger (Henrietta) Linders; and his sister, Helen Linders.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Linders; his children, Kevin (Sharon) Linders, Kimberly (Daniel) DeHaan, Karole (Thom) Parynik, and Keith Linders; grandchildren, Chelsea Quigg, Daniel (Arturo) DeHaan, Tyler (Rachel) Parynik, Kirstin (Shekinah) Pepper, Kailee (Adam Myers) Parynik, Sydney Linders, Karson Linders, Kooper Linders, Kloie Linders, Kornelius Linders, and Kobie Linders; great-grandchildren, Ian and Connor Quigg, and Teyton and Truett Parynik; along with bonus children Kim (Mark) Terpstra, Joel (Paige) Taylor, Karen (Mike) Tiesman and Mike Taylor, several bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Private interment with military honors will take place on at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Haven Church or to a charity of one's choice.
