Kenneth Elwell

Elwell, Kenneth Earl Kenneth Earl Elwell, 75, passed into the glory of Christ on September 6, 2020 at Bronson Commons in Mattawan. He was born March 30, 1945 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Leo and Dorothy (Brundage) Elwell. Ken was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, graduating from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1964. He served two years in the United States Navy and worked at Schaffer's Bakery for 40 years as a wrapper operator. He married Brenda Fortner on May 7, 1966 with which he had three sons, Rodney, Anthony, and Matthew. In 1985, he was reborn into Life in Christ. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Brenda; son, Matthew; and brother, Leo. He is survived by two sons, Rodney and Anthony; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert (Janet) and David (Linda) Elwell. Per Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 11:00AM at Calvary Bible Church, 855 S Drake Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. He will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
