Keith Loren Moser, 76, a father, grandfather, brother and special friend to many, was born March 22, 1948, to Leroy and Irene Moser in Detroit. Keith passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Ypsilanti Michigan on December 18, 2024, following a courageous battle with heart disease and skin cancer. Cremation has taken place.

Survivors include his daughter, Gigi Holmes of St Joe, MI; grandsons, John II, Alexander, and Mitchell Holmes; sister, Karel Moser-Wilson; brother-in-law, Steve VanDenBerg, and niece, Vicki VanDenBerg.

Keith was predeceased by his parents, Leroy and Irene; sister Karen VanDenBerg; nephew Nathan Gildea, and special friend Kay Taylor.

Keith, "Mo", as known to many, was a product of the "baby boomer generation." He repeated many times that we had the best music and fastest cars. Mo loved life, and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing Mo loved him back. He enjoyed playing one of many guitars, fishing on Gourdneck Lake, always reading a good book, a friendly, laughter-filled, round of golf with his buds, and of course a cold beer about anytime.

Keith was a member of the "pioneer" graduating Class of 1966 at the newly built Portage Northern High School. It was there, and Portage Central High School, that he forged many lifelong friendships. Shortly after high school Keith travelled to Amsterdam where he met up with Don Baker and Garret Timmermans to experience communal living at its finest. Later he spent time in Morocco and all over Europe doing odd jobs and day labor to pay for living expenses. Lifetime memories were made and shared with anyone that was willing to listen. It was good stuff!

Upon his return to Portage, Keith was employed by Migala Carpet One for nearly 50 years where he cultivated even more friendships and happy homeowners into return customers.

The family extends special recognition to caregiver and neighbor, Mark Zidell aka "Wally".

Mo was one of the good guys and will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be hosted in the spring. NOTE: If you would like to be notified of the date and location, please leave your name, email address and/or city of residence in the Memory and Condolences section below

In Mo's memory, please consider extending a Random Act of Kindness to someone that you have never met.
