Kathleen was born in Midland, MI on 6/17/64 to Gary L Miller and Sarah A Miller H/W and died on 7/9/25 in San Antonio, TX from congestive heart failure. Kathleen was the younger sister of Brian T Miller of Kalamazoo, MI and eventual older sister of John P Miller, now Howley of Lake Elmo, Minnesota. The sudden death of her father Gary in 1969 left Kathleen & her brothers minus a father figure in the household.

Sarah married Larry Howley in August of 1970 and the family moved to Kalamazoo Michigan where Kathleen and her brothers were enrolled at St. Monica School. She later transitioned to Hackett Catholic Central High School and graduated with honors. She attended WMU, obtained a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and a second degree as a Registered Nurse.

Kathleen moved to San Antonio Texas in 1991 where she was employed with United Health Care and Humana for nearly 30 years. She consistently received accolades from administration and coworkers and her unique telephone voice was identified by the company and used for national advertising. Kathleen's education was a priority and she was proud to continue coursework at Vanderbilt University.

Her family members are reminded of Kathleen's generosity and kindness by the visits, calls, and gifts she provided all her life. She especially loved her special needs niece Brooke Miller and liked to give her choices of places to go and visit since "she does not have many choices in life". She was entertained by Brooke's responses to people they met at their outings and found the humor in her spontaneity. Kathleen also loved to take Brooke's older sister Sarah Miller and her friend Sarah Diesler shopping and out for adventures. Her love of children was also evident in San Antonio as indicated by her long term Nurse friend Gloria.

Kathleen loved the Great Lakes and especially the Upper Peninsula and made several trips back home to view lighthouses along the shores of Lake Superior, Lake Huron and Lake Michigan.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A Celebration of Kathleen's life will be held at 12 Noon ET on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Kalamazoo, MI. A time for reflection and remembrance will continue after the service at the The University Roadhouse.
