Katherine Pestoor

Katherine Pestoor, aged 86, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2024. She was born on March 25 ,1937 in the Netherlands. Katherine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose love and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years William, their children, John (Donna) Pestoor, Ellen (Todd) Eberstein, Rick (Jane) Pestoor, Nancy Ransberger, David Pestoor, her brothers, Piet and Everett Dykhuis, along with a few family members in the Netherlands, and close friend Wilma Groenewold. Katherine was also blessed with ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mark Ransberger. A Celebration of Life to honor the life of Katherine Pestoor will be held at a later date. In memory of Katherine's life contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Second Christian Reformed Church. Your generous support will contribute to the ongoing research and care for those affected by this devastating disease.Her body was donated to Stryker Medical School.
