Katherine "Kay" M. Jamerson, age 78 of Portage, died on January 14, 2024. She was born on March 27, 1945, in Jefferson City, Missouri and grew up in Hermann, Missouri, the daughter of Vincent and Mary (Klos) Elsenraat. Kay graduated from St. George High School in 1963. On July 24, 1965, she married Edward Jamerson. The couple settled in Portage, Michigan. Ed and Kay were members of St. Catherine of Siena Parish. Kay was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Eagles Lodge. Kay's family includes her husband of 58 years, Edward Jamerson; her children: Jeffery (Melissa) Jamerson and Jana (Jeff) Webster; her grandchildren: Danielle (Joshua) Hyska and Garrett (Taylor) Jamerson; her great-granddaughters: Hallie and Georgia; her sisters: Diana (Mike) Praul, Marsha (Randy) Smith, and Carol (Doug) Graue; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of life service will be scheduled in the spring.
