Herder, June 12/2/1929 - 10/18/2020 Herder, June (Dwyer/Jones) aged 90 passed away Oct. 18, 2020 in Weslaco, TX. She was born Dec. 2, 1929 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Lawrence and Marie Dwyer. In 1946 she married Norman Jones and they had 3 children. Ending their marriage after 18 years they became good friends the rest of their lives. In 1968 a co-worker (Joan Hess) introduced June to her brother. She and Richard hit it off right away. They married in 1969 and celebrated their 51st anniversary in Sept. June always wanted to continue her education and receive her high school diploma which she did in 1971 (the same year her youngest son graduated) while working full time at NationalWaterlift/ParkerHannifin. She retired in 1990 and that began a yearly summer trip with her daughter Kerry. They enjoyed some great trips hitting places that they had not planned on visiting due to only using AAA trip tics. (Before GPS). When Richard retired in 1991 this started their love of RVing, visiting many places with the Winnebago RV Club. This also began their wintering in Ranchero Village Park, Weslaco, TX. In 2004 Kerry and Ken joined them every winter. In 2013 Richard and June decided to give up the RV life and settled down in Texas full time. June was very friendly and always had a smile. She loved her knitting club, the ceramics studio, Red Hat Outings and most of all shopping trips with Kerry and close friend Jan Murphy (2nd.daughter who also wintered with them). In Dec. 2019 she celebrated her 90th. birthday commenting that it was the 1st birthday party that she ever had.
