Obituary
Julia Georgeanna Klein, age 86, of Scott's, MI passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026.
Julia was born June 19, 1939, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to James and Lillian (Juneau) Martin. Losing her father early, she was raised by her mother, beloved sister Marilyn and many aunts, she had such warm memories of growing up in Grand Rapids. She graduated from Marywood Academy and went on to graduate from Aquinas College where she met her husband Bob, they married in 1963 and shared 52 wonderful years together before Bob passed away in 2015.
Julia loved music, she was the choir director at Marywood and sang with the choir at St. Catherine's. She also played Chime Bells with her very dear friend MaryPat. She was part of many social clubs including the Kalamazoo Encore Club. She participated in bowling, golf and tennis leagues, she was also a fierce bridge player. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports, she was known as a devoted hockey mom and a lifelong Mustang Booster. In 1976 Bob and Julia moved to Long Lake, she LOVED the lake. Long boat rides with family and friends gave her great joy. She was happiest on the boat with a martini/three olives in her hand. She cherished time with her friends from the Manhattan neighborhood, her Knitwits, bridge friends and visiting the Anderson's in the UP.
