Judy Moulthrop

It is with great sadness that the family of Judy Moulthrop announce her passing on July 3rd, 2023 at the age of 81. Judy was born in Neel, Alabama on April 15, 1942. Early in her childhood her family moved to the Kalamazoo area when her "Daddy" found a better job opportunity. Judy attended Kalamazoo Central. She was a fiercely devoted wife, mom and grandmother who always put others needs and comfort before hers. Her lemon meringue pie and outstanding holiday meals were one of the many ways she showed her family her love. Judy enjoyed going to the casino, shopping, going to eat and most of all spending family time at her home on the lake, especially sleepovers with the grandkids. Judy was loved by many and will be terribly missed.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and MaryLou Roberts, her brother Jerry Roberts. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Moulthrop; daughters, Sherri (Scott) Duursma and Sandy (Walt) Owsiany; granddaughters, Alyssa (Dan) Clark and Jenna Duursma.

Following her wishes cremation has taken place. The family will meet friends on Monday July 10th form 10:30 AM until time of memorial service at 11 AM at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
