Age 101, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2017 with her family at her side. Juanita was born on December 25, 1915 in Hoisington, KS the daughter of the late Ernest and Mae (Deal) Duda. She will be remembered for her smile and as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. Juanita traveled extensively, worked tirelessly in her flower garden and cherished each and every one of her pets. She will be missed by her children, Ron (Janice) Workman of Sparta, Neil Workman of Grand Rapids, and Doug (Karen) Workman of Kent City; step-children, Robert (Joan) Simpson of Texas, Mike (Kathy) Simpson of Jenison, and Joyce Hanson of Howard City; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Simpson; grandson, Robert Workman; and daughter-in-law, Dona Workman. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Yorkshire Manor and Spectrum Hospice for caring for their mother. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering is being planned for the summer. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of West Michigan.
