Juanita Goodwin

94, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, surrounded by family and friends. Juanita was born to Army Captain Garnett Garfield Overby and Juanita Eugenia Wilson Overby, on January 19, 1926, in Nogales, Arizona. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Police Sergeant Robert Allen "Al" Goodwin; her parents, sisters Garnet and Geraldine, brother Garnett and sister-in-law Dorcas (Rausch Overby). She is survived by daughter Eve Goodwin LaDue, son Addison Goodwin; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation is Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Harper Funeral Home, 521 Douglas Avenue, (269) 342-1000, Kalamazoo, MI. Homegoing Celebration is 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Galilee Baptist Church, 1216 N. Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo.
