Joyce Walters

Walters, Joyce Elaine Joyce Elaine Walters, age 80, of Schoolcraft passed away on Monday, May 17th in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born in Allegan, MI on August 15th, 1940 to Edward Bernard Clark and Phyllis Larie Page. On August 15, 1956 Joyce married her best friend and love of her life, Edward Earl Walters. Joyce and Ed had 64 wonderful years of marriage with one son and two daughters until her passing in 2021. Joyce was able to stay home and raise their family while Ed worked in the grocery stores. Many family weekends were spent camping at Holland State Park. Before and after retirement, she did many things she loved, especially spending time with her family, reading paper back novels, laying in the sun, feeding the birds especially hummingbirds, shopping, going to the Casino with husband and daughter Debbie or brother-in-law Bob. The warm sun, sand and water always called to Joyce and a beautiful winter villa was called theirs in Ft. Myers, Florida. Joyce was preceded in death by parents Edward and Phyllis (Page) Clark, brother Edward Clark, son Daniel Walters, and grand-dogs Beefcake and Pookie. Surviving to cherish her memory are husband, Edward Walters; daughter Susan (Michael) Trump; grandson Daniel (Caitlin) Trump; great-grandson Leon; granddaughter Carla (Gregory) Belanger; great-grandson Henry; daughter Deborah (Greg Doty) Walters; step grandson Avery; and step granddaughter Kaelyn. You were a bright light that went out and left us too soon. Visitation will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 from 6-8:00pm, with limited numbers allowed in the building at a time, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 411 E Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49002. A private service will be held with interment to follow. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 29 from 2:30-5:30 at the family home at 7259 W S Avenue, Schoolcraft, MI 49087.
