Later, after retirement, she and Ron roamed the country in their fifth-wheel trailer during summers, camping and enjoying the sights. She was a member of the Teamsters Union and worked hard as the union steward representing fellow union members. Joyce spent much time sewing, knitting, and crocheting throughout the years and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and word games.
