Joyce Durren

Died Monday, May 25th, 2020 at 12:40pm. She was born in Kalamazoo Michigan to Dan and Crystal Durren on July 18, 1935, along with her twin sister, Joanne Durren Skidmore. Joyce lived in many places through the years, but Kalamazoo was always her home. She enjoyed antiques, genealogy and watching the Detroit Tigers play baseball. She is survived by her children, Lynn Wales, Leanne (Mike) Padfield, Craig Wales and Ellen Phillips all of Indiana. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two great-grand children and one great great grand child. She is also survived by her nephew,Rick Durren of Elizabeth City, NC, who cared for her the last five years and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Joanne; brothers, Jack Durren and Dick Durren; her beloved son, Dirk Wales of Kokomo, Indiana and grandson, Christopher Padfield. No service is planned at this time. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Durren family.
