Joyce Comer

Joyce Arlene Comer passed from this world to the arms of her Savior and Lord, on July 24, 2020 at the age of 92. She was born on June 30 of 1928. Joyce was married to Lloyd Comer for 58 years until his passing in 2008. She loved her family, church, was very independent and loved helping others. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Iris (Taylor) Belland; husband, Lloyd Comer; daughter, Cheryl Sieli, and three siblings: Robert Belland, Clair Belland and Carole Crawford. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Woods; son, Jeff (Cynthia) Comer; 3 grandchildren: Joyce (John) Higginbotham, Matthew Comer, and David (Megan) Comer and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held to honor Joyce on August 9th, 2020 at 2:00 pm at 1st Baptist Church of Portage, 1133 E Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49002. Arrangements were entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a future date.
