Jon Levering

Passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Ascension Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo. Jon was born Feb. 22, 1949 in Kalamazoo, the son of Charles and Martha (Zweedyk) Levering and has lived in the Grand Junction area for the past 40 years. He worked at Bohn Aluminum for many years and then Love Joy, both of South Haven, which is where he retired from. He loved to golf, go to casinos and spend time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Kris, whom he married Aug. 8, 1968 in Chicago; 3 children, Kimberly Owens of Decatur, Jon (Michele) Levering of Troy, Jason Levering of Grand Junction; 7 grandchildren, Chelsea, Amanda, Austin, Hunter, Mitchel, Allison, Noah; great granddaughter, Niah; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, James; and 2 brothers, Tom and Charles. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place at Grand Junction Cemetery.
