John Marcusse

MARCUSSE - Mr. John Marcusse, age 86 of Grand Rapids, passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on December 11, 2012. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Betty A. Marcusse; children John and Pam Marcusse, Linda VanWyk and Peter Kleis, David and Rosemary Marcusse; grandchildren: Scott (Megan), Mellissa and Amy Marcusse, Christine (Jamie) Guevara, Daniel (Alisha) VanWyk, Lindsey (Joel) Rodriguez, Nicole (Joshua) Watson; several great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Kathryn Marcusse and Sylvia (Don) Scurio; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Marcusse was preceded in death by his brother, Abraham Marcusse, and sister, Maryann Noffsinger. He honorably served our country as a Carpenters Mate in the U.S. Navy during WW II and worked 38 years for Rapistan, retiring in 1988. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 11 AM at Second Congregational Church, 525 Cheshire NE where friends may visit with his family from 10 AM until the time of the service. Military honors will be under the auspice of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Second Congregational Church Music Fund are appreciated.
