John Lepley

John Lepley, age 77, of Lawton, MI passed away Monday morning, September 18, 2017 at his home. He was born July 7, 1940 in Chicago, IL, the Son of the late Alden and Rosemary (Weiss) Lepley. He was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and Devry Technical Institute. A brilliant engineer and entrepreneur, he started several businesses over the years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, amusement parks, casinos and spending time at the lake with family and friends. On November 8, 1958 in Kalamazoo, John was united in marriage to the late Dorothy L. (Wetherall) Lepley. Surviving are 5 children, John (Paula) Lepley of Paw Paw, Brenda Sherburn of Lawton, James Lepley of Mattawan, Mike Lepley of Kalamazoo and Don Lepley of Lawton; grandchildren, Brandon Lepley, Fallon Lepley, Steve Sherburn, Christopher Sherburn, Sara Sherburn, James Lepley, Josh Lepley, Jordan Oxley, Sheila Lepley, Alexis Lepley and William Lepley; great grandchildren, Natalie, Chase, Logan and Hudson Lepley; brother Roger (Kristy) Lepley of Kalamazoo; brother- in-law Larry Wetherall of Vicksburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald Lepley, in-laws, William and Eva Wetherall. Cremation has taken place and a memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
