John G. Ling III

Ling, John G. III Climax Age 75, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. John was born in Hart, Michigan on March 23, 1947, the son of the late John G. II and Vinetta B. (Quay) Ling. On March 12, 1974, John married the former Vickie Lynn Whited, who preceded him in death on September 30, 2018. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Ling and his sister, Vicky Boyer. John served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. John was an extremely hard worker and spent a life-long career in manufacturing. He was a wonderful grandpa and loved spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his sons, Alvin (Cindy), Robert (Cortney) and John IV (Anta) Ling; grandchildren, Curtis, Brandon (Shannon), Jacob, Ryan, Rilee, Madison and Mackenzie Ling; great-grandson, Robert Brooks; sisters, Wendy (Don) Mapes and Annie (Rick) Isley; brother in-law, Bud Boyer and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Battle Creek VA Medical Center.
