John D. Horvath

John D. Horvath, Knight of Columbus 4th Degree, passed away on July 1, 2023. He has been reunited with his wife of 55 years, Maxine E. Horvath (nee Wickware). He is survived by his four children: Donna (Eric) Mahieu, John L. (Kimberly) Horvath, Emily Horvath, and Gregory (Breanne) Horvath. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren: Leslieanne (Alexander) Seekell, Erin (Zachary) Payton, Devon (Kyle) Kessler, Kayla Horvath, John D. Horvath, II, Morgan Horvath, Keagan Horvath, and Aedan Horvath. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Piper, Ryder, Briar, and Daxon Seekell, and Seth Kessler. John built a fulfilling career as a hospital pharmacist serving as the Chief of Pharmacy at both Borgess Hospital and Allegan General Hospital. He was an avid gardener, and his orchids will continue to bring joy to his family if we can manage to keep them going. If you asked us for one piece of advice from our father it would be, "Be kind to each other." A funeral mass will be celebrated on August 1, 2023 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Otsego, Michigan at 11 am. In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to a charity that you believe spreads kindness in our father's honor.
