Jerry Raleigh Adrianson was born June 30, 1939 in Delton, Michigan and passed away on December 31, 2024 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, parents Raleigh and Bernice (Smith) Adrianson, a sister Beverly Brophy and a brother Harold Adrianson. Jerry attended the Banning Country School through the eighth grade and graduated from Plainwell High School in 1957. Jerry met Barbara Harper while working at Smitty's City Service in Otsego. Their first date was on July 4, 1961 and were married in a small ceremony on October 31, 1961. They were together for 59 years, until the time of her passing in May, 2021. At a young age Jerry had an interest in fixing things, including working on his Jeep. He could often be found in his garage and he enjoyed working on all kinds of engines, whether it be cars, trucks, lawn mowers or tractors. Not only did he repair and maintain his own equipment, he would also repair equipment for his friends and neighbors. Along with his wife, he did extensive remodeling of their two homes in Prairieville and their mobile home in Hartford. Besides working at Smitty's, he worked at A. H. Warnement Farm Implement in Plainwell, E.W. Bliss in Hastings and also worked in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo for a couple machine shops. Before retiring Jerry spent 10 years working alongside Barbara as they cleaned four area post offices and the Barry County Telephone Company offices in Delton. He also took care of the lawn care for the telephone company, as well. Jerry is survived by his children: Alan Adrianson, David (Marjorie) Adrianson, Wendy (Toribio) Estrada, Suzanna (Zachary) Mohney; five grandchildren: Juan, Nicholas, and Macy Estrada, Kyle and Nathaniel Adrianson; and a brother Gary (Carolyn) Adrianson.
