Jean Vandyk

Went to be with her Lord Monday afternoon December 30, 2019. Jean was born June 26, 1930 in Grand Haven, Michigan a daughter of John and Cornelia (Diephuis) Berryman. Jean was a founding member of Faith Christian Reformed Church. On February 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Maynard VanDyk Jr. who proceeded her in death on July 28, 2007. Jean is survived by 3 children, Bob (Cathi) VanDyk of Kalamazoo, Sue (Mike) Thayer of Portage, and Jim (Carrie) VanDyk of Lawton; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Arlene Sabo of Grand Haven, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Friday at Faith Chapel Ministries, 7736 West G Ave. Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Private interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alamo Nursing Home Memorial Fund or to the Tree of Life Christian School.
