Jared McGuire-Waskul

Jared M. McGuire-Waskul, age 31, of Augusta, passed away at the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek on Wednesday evening, October 30, 2019 with his parents by his side. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on February 4, 1988 the loving son of Terry Waskul and Pamela McGuire. Jared moved to Michigan when he was one year old and graduated from Gull Lake High School with the Class of 2008. Jared is survived by his parents, Terry and Pam; his grandparents, Frank and Mary Waskul of High River, Alberta, Canada; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Erna McGuire of Decatur, Michigan. Jared was an avid reader and loved writing his own stories. He loved playing baseball on the Allied Mechanical Team-Challenger League Division for 16 years. Jared also enjoyed drawing pictures, doing puzzles, and playing all sorts of card and board games. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Augusta Chapel, 307 North Webster Street, Augusta where a memorial service to celebrate Jared's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019.
