Janice Richards

Janice was the first daughter born to the late William and Elaine Richards. She is a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. Janice passionately enjoyed riding motorcycles and collected Harley Davidson memorabilia. With a wild and untamed spirit, she was always the life of the party. Janice lived to make people laugh and was an extremely giving person. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, sister Julie Elder, and best friend Christopher Craft. She is survived by her brothers Michael (Patty) Richards , Mitchell Richards, Russell (Cate) Richards, and Jeffrey Richards, brother-in-law Ron Elder, her daughter Stephanie (Brian) Thompson, Granddaughter Elaina (Dakota) Berghuis, Grandsons Patrick and Alec Thompson and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday July 12, 2019 1:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church 936 Lake St. Kalamazoo. Janice has gifted her body for educational purposes to WMU School of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Hospice of Southwest Michigan or The American Heart Association.
