James Edward "Jim" Wellington Jr., of Grand Junction, MI, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, with his family by his side. Born on March 31, 1954, to James Edward Sr. and Billie Wellington, Jim lived a life enriched by his love for books, movies, and theater. He was known for his enjoyment of sharing his opinions on these passions.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine Wellington, in 1980, and by his father, James Edward Sr. He is survived by his mother, Billie Wellington; his brothers, Pat Wellington (Patra Ryder) and Chuck Wellington (Chris); his nephews, Charles Wellington (Amanda Boydston) and Jonathan Wellington (Allison); as well as his great-niece Oriana and great-nephews Charlie and Odin.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jim's life on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Grand Junction Congregational Church in Grand Junction, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan, MI.
