James MacGregor

Died Thursday morning September 10, 2009. James was born December 9, 1909 in Manton, Michigan a son of John and Alma (Waber) MacGregor. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1981 and was employed with the U.S. Department of Defense for many years before retiring. He was also a member of the Westwood United Methodist Church; and National Amateur Radio Operators Organization. Radio communication and music were integral parts of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Faith E. (Winters) MacGregor on December 25, 2006; an infant daughter, Marilyn; a son-in-law, Edward Geer; a brother, Donald; and two sisters, Lillian and Anna. He is survived by two children, James R. (Susan) MacGregor of Pentwater, MI and Laurie Geer of Kalamazoo; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 3-5 PM Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the chapel on Monday. Interment will be in Kendall Cemetery.
