James LaDuke

James Richard LaDuke, age 77, of Palmetto, Florida went to his Heavenly home, Saturday April 8, 2017. He was born on November 3, 1939 to Orville and Anna (Dykstra) LaDuke and was a long-time resident of Portage, MI. Jim retired from a 30-year career with Eaton Corporation, but he never retired from faithfully serving the Lord. He has faithfully served with Loving Hands Ministry (Palmetto, FL), and The Healing Rooms of Manatee (Manatee, FL) offering his time, his listening ear, and sharing his love of the Lord. Jim is best known for his sense of humor and his genuine love for others. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob, and his daughter, Dawn. Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy (DeYoung) and his son and daughter-in-law, Baron and Kristen (Brooks) LaDuke. A Celebration of Life was held at Faith Life Church (6980 Professional Parkway East, Sarasota, FL 34240) on Thursday April 13 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
