Borton, James 8/29/1941 - 1/1/2021 Parchment James clarence borton 79 James Clarence Borton (Jimmy) 8/29/41 - 1/1/2021 Age 79, passed away at his home on January 1, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on August 29, 1941 in Vicksburg, MI, the son of the late Clarence and Pauline (Gould) Borton. Jimmy spent his childhood in Kalamazoo, MI and attended Kalamazoo Central High School. Jimmy worked for Beach Products for 37 years while raising his family. Jimmy loved his family and his friends, and he leaves them with many wonderful memories to cherish. He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed. On may 4th,1974 he married Gracie who survives. He is survived by 5 sisters, Esther Paddock, Mildred Stocking, Margaret Reid, Geraldine (Jerry) Berry, Carol Borton. He is also survived by his son Kenneth Vanatta,5 daughters sharon bixler , Misty, Chauntelle, Donna, Janet;and 19 grandchildren ,and 5 great-grandchildren, .many nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in passing by two siblings Ross Borton and Norman Borton A service is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th at 11:00am at Christ Temple Church in Kalamazoo, where he was a faithful member.
