Jacob Tyler

Tyler , Jacob Calvin age 37 of Mendon died peacefully and surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was born in Kalamazoo on February 23, 1984 the son of Dennis W. and Masaye (Kobayashi) Tyler and was a lifetime resident of the area. He attended Mendon Elementary and Colon High School and had been employed at Dutchman R-V in Middlebury, Maxitrol in Colon, and the Mendon Shell Mart. He volunteered at both the Mendon and Colon Food Banks. He enjoyed video games, watching anime and NASCAR events, listening to music and podcasts. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends and his pets, Atticus, Bella, and Thor. Jacob is survived by his girlfriend, Courtney Huckendubler; his father, Dennis Tyler; son, Kristofer Tyler; brothers, Robert (Britni) Tyler, Josh Tyler, Gary (Corrie) Tyler, Dennis Tyler, and Tim Tyler; sisters, Jennifer Tyler and Lisa Hull. He was preceded in death by his mother, Masaye Tyler and a brother, Gideon Tyler. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 pm Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm at the funeral home followed by interment in Dutton Cemetery. Memorial contributions will be directed to the family to help with expenses.
