Jackie Don DeCamp, age 84 was surrounded by his family and passed away peacefully April 29, 2023 in Muskegon, Michigan. Jack was born in Indiana on March 28, 1939, the son of George and Loretta (Summers) DeCamp. Jack joined the Army and was stationed in Hawaii until he was honorably discharged before returning to Vicksburg, Michigan. Jack came from a family of truck drivers and quickly joined the industry as a driver where he spent 35 years driving truck. He retired from Borroughs Manufacturing in Kalamazoo with many safety awards for safe driving and reaching well over a million miles driven. Jack loved to spend time with his family, going fishing, golfing, building and racing go karts, and watching a good NASCAR Race on TV. He loved to travel with his wife Linda and spend time in the Bahamas. Jack's passion was woodworking. He could get lost for hours in designing and crafting all types of beautiful projects. He was very creative and a true artist in his own right, leaving a legacy of precious hand made crafts for his family and friends to cherish.

Jack is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda DeCamp, who resides in their home in Fruitport, Michigan. Jack was a beloved father of four from his first marriage to Doreen H. (Dibble) Swim who proceeded him in death in fall of 2022. Surviving children; Kimberly (Dave) Castagnetta, Minnesota, Jack DeCamp of Bloomingdale, Cary DeCamp of Paw Paw and Rhonda (Kevin) Nordstrom of Vicksburg. Surviving Stepchildren; Denise (Larry) of the Bahamas and Jason (Heidi) in Northern Michigan. Jack has 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Jack came from a big family with seven siblings and is survived by his sisters Lugretta Waggy of Texas, Mary Ann (Larry) First of Brevort, Michigan and his brother Donald "Doc" (Carolyn) DeCamp of Morrisville, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers George DeCamp and David DeCamp, half brother Bill Highsmith and half sister, Amy (Highsmith) Young.

Cremation has taken place. The family is planning a private gathering to celebrate Jack's life and legacy.
