Jack DeHaan

Jack T. DeHaan passed away at his home on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the age of 58. He was born in Kalamazoo on February 23, 1954, the son of the late Steven and Laura (Kannegeiter) DeHaan. He graduated from Parchment High School and was a mechanical contractor, owning and operating Jack T. DeHaan Heating and Cooling since 2001. He was a member of Northern Heights Christian Reformed Church and currently attended Second Christian Reformed Church. He was married to Cheryl (Vanderwell) DeHaan in Kalamazoo in 1975; she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Daniel (Sara) DeHaan of Kalamazoo, Randall DeHaan of Plainwell and Joshua DeHaan of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Dylan, Emma and Kaitlin; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Russ and Donna Vanderwell; his brothers and sisters, Kathy (Ed) Hoeksema, Pat (Ed) Doorlag, Steve (Deb) DeHaan and Larry (Ruth) DeHaan; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chuck (Susan) Vanderwell and Bob (Laura) Vanderwell. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd. Rev. Dr. Warren E. Lammers will officiate with burial in West Cooper Cemetery.
