Irene Kinney

Died Tuesday morning November 12, 2019. Irene was born September 3, 1926 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Ben and Ida (Bixler) Burrma. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was a member of Trinity Reformed Church. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin L. Kinney on April 10, 2008; 2 brothers, Louis and Edward Burrma; and a sister, Marguerite Lambeck. She is survived by 2 children, Jillian (Bob Warren) Kinney of Oregon and Scott (Robin) Kinney of Indian Land, SC; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Kinney and Adam Kinney; a great-grandchild, Oliver Keegan; her twin sister, Alene (Wubbo "Chub") Mejeur; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 10 o'clock Saturday, November 16th from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3936 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice Program or to Park Village Pines.
