Obituary
Irene Louise Fletcher, 94, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025. Born October 18, 1930, to Claude and Margaret (Gillett) Storey, Irene lived a life filled with love, joy, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Irene's family was her world. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. She didn't just love her grandchildren-she lived for them. Those who knew her understood her selfless spirit and the joy and happiness she exuded to everyone around her. Even at 94, she never lost her spark. On the night before her passing, she said, "I could just dance." All Irene ever wanted was peace for everyone, and she leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and kindness. She was famous for her baked macaroni and cheese, which she made for countless events. She was the best of the best and will be dearly missed by so many.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick Fletcher Sr.; and her daughter, Lori Blacken.
She is survived by her children, LouAnn (Mike) Jezdimir, Richard (Roxie) Fletcher Jr., and Chris (Theresa) Fletcher; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Dan Blacken; her sister, Jackie Fletcher; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other beloved family members and friends.
