Howard Duncan

DUNCAN, HOWARD JR., Howard Duncan Jr. was born July 12, 1959 in Lepanto, Arkansas. He departed this life on December 30th, 2020. Howard was a Class of 1978 graduate of Loy Norrix High School. He entered the U.S. army after high school. He trained at Fort Jackson, SC and served at Fort Hood, TX; Fort Polk, LA; Fort Lee, VA; and Germany. After service he returned to Kalamazoo for a while, then moved to Van Nuys, California where he met his wife Jasmine. They married and moved to Lancaster, CA. Howard worked for the California Highway State Police. Then he studied private duty nursing. He worked for two celebrities: Martha Ray and Scatman Crothers. He will be missed by his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved mother and father, Georgia and Howard Duncan; his wife of thirty-two years, Jasmine Duncan, who worked as a manager at Hugo's Restaurant; his brothers James (Trish) of Cleveland, OH; Darryl (Bulah) of Springfield, MO; and Steve (Linda) of Bellflower, CA; his sisters Dana and Janice of Kalamazoo; a special niece Alyiah Khan and her mother Nilu, as well as other nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who loved his vibrant personality and laughter. Howard was laid to rest in California.
