Helen Roberts

Formerly of Kalamazoo Helen Jane Roberts Age 82 passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Ashley Care Center. A Memorial Mass will be held 1pm Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kalamazoo with Monsinger Michael Hazard officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Helen was born June 4, 1936 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of William and Mary (Tabbia) Roberts. She graduated from St. Augustine High School in Kalamazoo. Helen was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Owosso. Helen worked as an operator for Western Union and was also a secretary at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo Sled Company and Miller Lumber Company. She enjoyed caring for others, especially in her later years. Helen spent a majority of her life living in the Kalamazoo area. Helen is survived by her sisters Barbara (Stan) Beckwith, Katherine (Robert) Kaminga and Margaret (Raymond) Williams; brothers Fred, James, Joseph, Paul (Rebecca) Roberts; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers John and Charles Roberts. Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of donor's choice.
