Esman, Helen M. Lawton Age 88, passed away early Monday morning, March 28, 2022. Helen was born in Otsego Township, on July 21, 1933, the daughter of Amos and Doris (Hope) Beldon. On May 2, 1953, she married Robert A. Esman who preceded her in death. Helen was an avid knitter. She also enjoyed crocheting and counted cross stitch. She had been a member of a quilting group for many years. Helen was a devout Christian and had been in several Bible study groups. Helen is survived by her children, Susan (Dan Wolfe) Esman, Edward (Susie) Esman, and Sally (Greg Banfield) Esman: granddaughter, Kylee Wolfe; brother, James (Rose Mary) Beldon; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Besides her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William R. Esman; a daughter-in-law, Josephine Esman; sister, Jeanette Hopkins; and friend Stanley Blatson. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. Helen will be laid to rest at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park.
