Brodie, Helen Marie Portage Passed away Saturday afternoon, July 30, 2022. Helen was born June 13, 1929 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Archie and Dorothy (Tidd) Channells. She was a passionate quilter but her lifelong hobby and passion was her family. On November 5, 1948 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Floyd Nick Brodie who preceded her in death on February 6, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her brother Ronald Channells; and sister, Barbara Wilson. Helen is survived by her children, Janice (Jeff) Flegal, Alan (Betty) Brodie, Lynda (Kerry) DePoy, Laryn Brodie; grandchildren, Haley (Scott) Dare, Tricia (Fabien) Sarrazin, Todd (Lisa) Brodie, Julie Brodie, Shara DePoy; great-grandchildren, Evan and Aron Dare, Olivia, Nolan, and William Brodie, Maya Dorland and Flynn Brodie. Cremation has taken place and private interment will be in South Portage Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Dementia Society of America.
