Heidi Susan Moneta

Heidi Susan Moneta was suddenly taken to be with her Lord on August 8, 2023. Heidi was born September 22, 1964 to Bruno W. Moneta and Renate Moneta (Prohser).

She grew up in Portage Michigan, attended and graduated Vicksburg High School in 1982 and graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She then worked a number of years as a data processor for a local bank in Portage, MI. After that time, she worked in the family businesses: Kal-Marble, Inc. and Spa World of Schoolcraft. Needing a change, she then worked 15 years at Walmart, including a couple of years down in Evansville, Indiana. She then returned to Michigan to help care for her aging parents.

Heidi loved motorcycling in her later years and attended many benefit rides, always accompanied by her service dog, S'more.

She is survived by her parents, brothers, Ricky (Sandy) Moneta and David (Suzi) Moneta, nieces Lindsay and Danielle, nephew Lucas and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.

A memorial service will be held September 23, 2023 at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 7211 Oakland Drive, Portage MI at 11 a.m. Burial will be a private family gathering at a later time.

Heidi was a big advocate for the caring of and adoption of large animals (dogs) which was one of her favorite charities.
