Of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 14,2017 after a long, 6 year fight with Cancer with family by her side. A Kalamazoo native, Heather was born January 20,1985. Heather graduated from Loy Norrix High School in 2003, it is there she met her high school sweetheart and lifelong partner Jeremy Hembree. Heather's most memorable day came on her birthday, January 20,2007, when she and Jeremy were blessed with the birth of their beautiful baby boy Braden. Sharing a birthday with Braden was always a very unique & special experience for her. Heather was a loving mother, daughter, sister, fiance, aunt and best of all a genuine friend. Heather had a special gift and devoted much of her life to caring for children where she had worked at Country Corner Daycare for many years. Preceding Heather in death are her father Dennis M. Cubitt and her grandmother Judith Tuin. Surviving Heather are her beloved son Braden Hembree 10, fiance Jeremy Hembree. Mother Karen (Gar) Gillespie. Step-father David Lawrence. Brothers Dylan (Taylor) Lawrence & Ryan (Mandy) Bailey, Thaddeus Cubitt, Aunt Cheryl Nelson, grandmother Judith Eikum, Uncle Robert (Annette) Nelson, cousins Nick & Randall Miller, Sam & Kinsey Nelson. Nephews Brody Hembree & Jack Lawrence. Niece Mia Bailey. As well as the entire Lawrence Family who always considered Heather their cousin niece and granddaughter. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday August 25th, 2017 at Yorkville Community Church in Richland, Michigan at 1:00pm. Following the funeral the family would like to invite all family and friends to join them for a Celebration of Life Luncheon at the Paw Paw Eagles #4310 at 4:00pm. 63237 M-40, Lawton, MI 49065 In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you please make all Memorial Contributions to a fund that has been set up for Braden's Educational Expenses at Consumers Credit Union, Member #209366.
