Hazel Burch

Hazel I. Burch, age 86, of Lawton, MI passed away Monday afternoon, February 9, 2015 at Care Community Lawton in Lawton. Hazel was born October 28, 1928 in Andover, South Dakota the daughter of the late Roy E. and Lucille R. (Granger) Haywood. Hazel and her husband, Clark owned and operated a grape farm in Lawton for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, walking, and was well known for baking delicious pies and bread. Hazel was a member of the Lawton Senior Citizens and was a Senior Citizen of the Year. On December 15, 1947 in Indiana, Hazel was united in marriage to Clark W. Burch who preceded her in death on October 26, 1990. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Lester Haywood and a sister, Elsie Mae Baty. Surviving are a son, Thomas L. Burch of Lawton; two grandchildren, Jaeden and Jordan Burch; nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends, Saturday, (Feb. 14) 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease.
