Harriet (Doezema) Knott

KNOTT - Harriet (Doezema) Knott of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at home. She was preceded in death by her infant son, a granddaughter, Sandra Lautenbach, three brothers and parents, Riner and Rika Doezema. She is survived by her husband of 64 1/2 years, Rev. Edward Knott; her daughter, Kathy (John) De Leeuw; grandchildren, Michelle (Doug) Dreyer, Michael De Leeuw (fiance Emily), Stacy (Jason) Huttenga; son, Edward John Knott Jr. (Marcia); grandchildren, Rob Knott, Sara (Kevin) Huisman; son, Fred (Deb) Knott; grandchildren, Lisa Knott, Kari (Matt) Schulte, Brian Knott; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Lautenbach, Lucas Dreyer, Adrianna Dreyer, Madelynn Huttenga, Loryn Huttenga, Logyn Huttenga, Mallory Huttenga, and Evalyn Huisman; sisters, Angeline Vander Wal, Annette (Herm) Hoeksema of Chicago, IL, Katherine Doezema; and brother, Dr. Edward R. (Betty) Doezema of Ann Arbor; and many nieces and nephews. Harriet was a very loving, caring, gracious person with the wonderful gift of hospitality. She faithfully served with her husband in the churches in which they ministered. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, who cared deeply for her own and extended family. Visitation will be at Zaagman Memorial Chapel on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany United Reformed Church, 5401 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, officiated by Dr. Nelson Kloosterman and Rev.
