Harriet Bixler

Passed away Thursday morning, November 12, 2020 at her home. Harriet was born December 20, 1937 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Spencer and Flora (Carlon) Bixler and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. Prior to her retirement in 1998, she was employed for 46 years with Ft. James Paper Company. Harriet was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and enjoyed traveling and going to country music concerts. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Betty Nuyen; and several nieces and nephews. Harriet was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack and Theodore Bixler; and a brother-in-law, William Nuyen. Private services will be held at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 622 South Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
