Warren, H. JEan 5/6/1925 - 10/1/2020 Allegan Jean Warren, 95, of Allegan, MI passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020. She was born to Glenn and Bertha Smith on May 6, 1925 in Falcon, KY. As a teen, Jean moved to Michigan and eventually went to work at Blood Brothers Factory where she met her future husband, Wayne Warren. She raised a family and later returned to work at the Allegan Intermediate School District. Jean loved to travel and have new adventures. She took many trips and never turned down a motorcycle ride, sailing, or a hot air balloon flight. She also attended the Kentucky Derby the year Secretariat won. Jean was an active volunteer at the First Baptist Church, volunteering countless hours to ministry, Kids Hope, and the Allegan Music Club. Her list of friends was long, and she always provided a listening ear to those in need. Her friends and family will miss her beautiful smile and her timeless elegance. She was a true southern lady, always dressed to the nines. Her influence and love will last through many years after she is gone. Jean is survived by her children, Lynn Hale, Dr. Timothy (Beverlee) Warren, and Debra (Steve) Mancuso; grandchildren, Warren (Linda) Hale, Shawn (Laura) Warren, Shad (Courtney) Warren, Shalimar Warren (James Barefield), Daniel Mancuso (Erin Mather), and Meredith (Caleb) Vanderhill; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Due to COVID 19 and in accordance with current regulations, visitors will be asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. Occupancy restrictions will be enforced. Jean will be laid to rest privately beside her husband in Hudson Corners Cemetery.
