Guadalupe M. Arispe, 92, passed away to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, in Holland. She was born January 20, 1917, in Mercedes, TX, to Eutemio and Josefa Mar-roquin. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 59 years, Juan Arispe; and six chil-dren. She is survived by six sons, Arnulfo Arispe, Alejan-dro Arispe, both of Holland, Armando Arispe (Rafaela) of Porterville, CA, Carlos Arispe (Dolia) of La Villa, TX, Alfre-do Arispe ( Teresa) of Corpus Christi, TX, Benito Arispe of La Balanca TX; four daugh-t-ers, Josefa Silva, Irene De la Luz (Robert), Anita Mireles (Fidel) and Isidra Arispe, all of Holland; also surviving are 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and neph-ews in Texas and Michigan. Visitation was at 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009, with a 7:00 p.m. prayer ser-vice at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco-Chapel of The Heavens. Graveside service was at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery in Mercedes. Officiating was Carlos Lugo. Pallbearers were Eddie Silva, Giblert Arispe, Michael Mireles, Alex Arispe, Jr., Alberto Arispe and Fred-dy Arispe, Jr. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave., Weslaco, TX. (956) 969-1461. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
