Gregory Hudson

Hudson, Gregory J. Galesburg Passed away Wednesday night, September 14, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. Greg was born August 13, 1951, in Kalamazoo, the son of John "Jack" and Louise (Shrout) Hudson. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He spent 40 years at Durametallic/Flowserve and served many roles within the engineering department. Greg was a man of many hobbies and could be found tinkering in his barn, fishing, biking, caring for bees and playing pickleball. But most of all, he loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. On August 25, 1973, he was united in marriage to Teresa (Schipper) who preceded him in death on February 11, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his father, John Hudson; and in-laws, Richard Sr. and Lois Schipper. On October 19, 2011, Greg was united in marriage to Cynthia (VanderKlok) who survives. Also surviving are his children, Mindi (Bobby) Reilman, Eric (Heather) Hudson; grandchildren, Hunter and Abigail Reilman, Reece and Calli Hudson; stepchildren, Jennifer Bailey, Christopher Bailey (Kaitlyn Jaent); his mother, Louise Hudson; brothers and sister, Jeff (Carla) Hudson, Tim (Rosalie) Hudson, Ed (Heather) Hudson, Ellen (Dean) Eggleston; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from 5:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, September 21st at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Private graveside services will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Centrica Care Navigators, Spectrum Health Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, or the Renucci Hospitality House.
