Glenn Loughridge

Glenn H. Loughridge, age 89, died Monday evening January 30, 2017. Glenn was born December 10, 1927 in Pasadena, California a son of Donald and Ada (Jacobs) Loughridge. Years ago, he served Honorably with the U.S. Army. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 10 years, coming from Grand Blanc, MI. Glenn was employed with Consumers Energy for over 25 years before retiring. He was also a member of Lutheran Church of the Savior and the Flint Breakfast Club. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jean M. (Miller) Loughridge in 1995; a brother, Donald Loughridge; and a sister, Earnestine Pearson. On July 24, 2006, he was united in marriage to Norma Jean Simmons who survives. Also surviving, 4 children, Ann Loughridge of Nashville, TN, Lori Loughridge of Sarasota, FL, Jon (Paula) Loughridge of Grand Blanc, MI, and Bill (Debra) Schmidt of Lake Leelanau, MI; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place in Grand Blanc, MI at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes or to the Lutheran Church of the Savior.
