Glenn Dale "Dale" Garlow was born on October 26, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Wilema Jean (Lyon) Baker and John Price Baker. Dale passed away on September 27, 2020, at his home in Mission Viejo, California, accompanied by his wife, Kathy, after a four-year battle with cancer. While growing up, Dale and his family moved around a lot, ending up in Roswell, New Mexico in 1959, where he graduated from Roswell Senior High School in 1960. Dale went on to attend the New Mexico Military Institute and Eastern New Mexico State University. Rather than waiting for the draft, Dale joined the army and spent his first year at Fort Ord in California before being transferred to Augsburg, Germany where he served for two years. Before deploying to Germany, Dale married his first wife, Dana Jennings. In 1965 their first son, Warren (Lance), was born. Upon returning from Germany, the family moved to Dallas, Texas. In 1966, Dale accepted a position with Upjohn Pharmaceutical as a Credit Manager in Kansas City, Missouri. During his time with Upjohn, Dale and his family transferred numerous times which took them all over the United States (including Denver, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Kalamazoo). In 1969, while living in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Dale and Dana welcomed their second son, Brent. Dale's career with Upjohn lasted 20 good years. In 1987, he returned to California and married his second wife, Kathy Klug. Dale went on to help create and lead several successful pharmaceutical distribution business ventures where he served as COO. Dale was an avid athlete who enjoyed tennis, racket ball, golf, and softball. He also loved participating in ping pong tournaments where he lived in Mission Viejo, California. Dale is survived by his wife, Kathy (Klug), her two daughters Joelle and Jami Bowman of California, his two sons Lance and Brent (Barbara) Garlow, of Michigan, his grandchildren Sierra (Chris) Cicchelli of Michigan, Ethan Hunt, Kaitlyn Reigle of Michigan, Rowan Garlow of Oregon, his two great grandson's Jordan and Brayden (Sierra) Cicchelli, his sister Ellen (Clay) White of Texas and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his biological father John P. Baker, adoptive father Robert Garlow, mother Wilema Jean (Lyon) Garlow and sister Patricia Jean "Patsy" Watlington. At Dale's request, no services will be held.
