Brower, Glen 2/7/1927 - 6/1/2020 Kalamazoo Glen was born on February 7, 1927, in Dawson, Pennsylvania, the son of Earl and Garnet Lancaster (Brower). Upon graduation from high school Glen enlisted in the United State's Army to support the WWII effort. He was deployed to Germany as part of that effort, serving as a Sergeant in the 1st Medical Battalion. It was in Germany that Glen met the love of his life, Anna Luise Charlotte "Lilo" (Fien) Brower. Glen and Lilo were married for over sixty years and resided in Kalamazoo, MI. Glen worked for Eaton Corporation retiring in the 1980's. As a couple, the two enjoyed gardening, being with family, and dancing at the German American Club (of which they were founding members). Glen was an avid ice skater, enjoyed carpentry projects, loved photography, and music. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, Garnet Titterington, two brothers, Earl Brower and Frederick Bower, and a son-in-law, Donald Purk. He is survived by his two daughters, Ingrid Purk of Scotts, MI, and Kristine (Alan) Stine of Kalamazoo, MI, a sister, Beverly (Charles) Garlick of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, and a brother Clarence Brower of Dawson, Pennsylvania, along with six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Military services will be held at Fort Custer at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Disabled American Veterans, DAV (dav.org)
